Volunteer opportunities for parents and families
If your son or daughter is enrolled in one of our band programs, you are already a member of the McNary High Band Boosters. The Band Boosters are all volunteers and are an integral part of the McNary High Band programs. Volunteers have the opportunity to use their talents in many different areas and EVERY VOLUNTEER IS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED!
The Boosters Board of Directors (elected positions) meet monthly on the second Tuesday of each month followed by a general Band Boosters meeting (all can, and are encouraged, to attend). See the calendar for dates and times.
Salem-Keizer School District and McNary High School policy states all applicants (volunteers) complete a criminal history check before taking part in a volunteer activity. The online process is secure and only District staff will see the results. Please complete this check as soon as possible. Salem Keizer Band Day
Saturday, Sept. 12
8 am - 7 pm
During this Saturday, the Salem Keizer School District designates it as Band Day. It is a day long fundraiser for High School Band Programs. It allows our students to go into businesses and neighborhoods soliciting cash donations, as well as collecting Oregon deposit bottles and cans. This day is the second major fundraiser for McNary High School band programs.
This fundraiser compliments our Band programs and provides funding for our bands which include: Marching, Orchestra, Symphonic, Advanced Band, Jazz Bands, Wind Ensemble, and Concert. Without this fundraiser and the support of parents, neighbors, and the community, McNary High School the caliber of our music program would suffer.
We invite and encourage EVERYONE to take part in this endeavor. Whether it's stopping by the Schoolhouse Square parking lot at the corner of Chemawa Rd & N. River Road to drop off your deposit cans and bottles, dropping off a monetary donation, driving students (with a current Criminal History Check), or helping us sort bottles and cans, we NEED and welcome the assistance.

Jazz Night will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2016 at the McNary Restaurant & Lounge located at McNary Golf Club.

Uniform Coordinator
(Open Position)
The opportunity to volunteer as main coordinator is open for 2015. Tasks include: Tracking inventory and uniform assignments using Excel; Ordering uniforms and supplies; uniform fitting for students; Hemming; Drop off/pick-up uniforms to cleaners; Coordinating parent volunteers for any, or all task assistance.
Main coordinator position is open and volunteers are NEEDED NOW. Marching Band season has started with Band Camp and volunteers are needed for games, Band Day, parades, etc.
